Income Based

Must be a member of the Pawnee Nation of Oklahoma with proof of tribal membership; be enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education; have financial need as determined by the institution's financial aid office under the U.S. Department of Education formula; and must apply for all available financial aid. Applicants must satisfy all federal Bureau of Indian Affairs requirements specified in the application packet. Undergraduate only: the program page states it "is not currently accepting Graduate applications as we have not received any allocations since 2017."

Download the Higher Education Scholarship application and submit the completed packet to education@pawneenation.org. Required documents: application form, tribal membership verification, letter of acceptance from an eligible institution, high school transcript or GED, transcripts from the previous term, a Financial Need Analysis Form completed by the school's financial aid department showing unmet need, letter of intent, class schedule, and Selective Service verification for all males. Deadlines: July 30 for the fall semester or full academic year; December 30 for the spring semester.

No residency requirement is published. Eligibility keys on enrollment in the Pawnee Nation rather than where the student lives.
