BIA Burial Assistance Program
Covers funeral expenses up to $3,000 for eligible deceased federally recognized tribal members who lived within MCN boundaries. Resources available at date of death are deducted from $3,000. Payments made to funeral homes; reimbursements not allowed.
Who's eligible
Any Enrolled Tribal Member Income Based Geographic
Deceased must be enrolled in a federally recognized Indian tribe, have lived within Muscogee (Creek) Nation boundaries, and death must have occurred within 180 days of application. Income for deceased and spouse/parents of minors must meet guidelines. Resources available on date of passing must not exceed $3,000.
