Osage Nation Purchased/Referred Care (PRC)
IHS-funded program covering specialty medical and dental care at outside providers when services are unavailable at Wahzhazhe Health Center. Covers specialty referrals, eyeglasses (up to $250 regular, $350 bifocals), and other referred care. PRC is last-resort funding — all other insurance (Medicaid, Medicare, private) must be exhausted first.

Must be a federally recognized tribe member residing in the CHSDA (Contract Health Service Delivery Area): Osage Nation Reservation plus Kay, Grant, Noble, Payne, Pawnee, and Garfield Counties in Oklahoma. Must maintain an active Wahzhazhe Health Center chart and valid PRC card. Must apply for all available alternate resources first. Notify PRC at least 48 hours before scheduled appointments.

How to apply
Must first establish a chart at Wahzhazhe Health Center (see osage-health-001). Once established, request a referral from your primary care provider. The PRC Committee reviews and approves. Notify PRC at least 48 hours before any outside appointment; unauthorized visits may not be covered.
