Independent Elder Housing
Affordable housing for low-income elders who are able to live independently. Units designed for one person or one person and their spouse. Tenants pay 15% of gross adjusted income toward rent.
Who's eligible
Tribal Citizens Only Income Based
Choctaw Nation tribal member elders age 55+ (62+ preferred). Income at or below 80% of national median. Must be able to live independently. CDIB/tribal membership documentation required; criminal background check required.

Fourteen communities across the Choctaw Nation service area: Antlers, Atoka, Broken Bow, Calera, Coalgate, Hartshorne, Hugo, Idabel, Poteau, Savanna, Smithville, Stigler, Talihina, and Wilburton.
