Burial Program
Three burial assistance tracks: (1) Tribal Burial up to $3,000 for Choctaw members — apply within 30 days, paid directly to funeral home; (2) Supplemental Program up to $500 for Choctaw members who died after Oct 1 2022, stacks with Tribal Burial but not BIA; (3) BIA Burial up to $3,500 for members of any federally recognized tribe who lived in the CN service area 6+ months and are indigent — apply within 180 days.

Any CDIB Holder
Tribal Burial and Supplemental: Choctaw Nation members only. BIA Burial: member of any federally recognized tribe with 6+ months in the CN service area and indigent status (savings under $1,000, no insurance). Required docs: CDIB, tribal membership, SSN card, death certificate, itemized bill, W-9.
