Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma · ELDER CARE
Elder/Disabled Care/Emergency Assistance Benefit
Up to $4,000 each fiscal year for elders and disabled members toward auto insurance (one vehicle), healthcare, housekeeping, lawn mowing, Lifeline service, Medicare insurance, homeowner or renter insurance, property taxes on a primary residence, and water bills. The emergency rent, move-in and shut-off assistance described in the manual is deducted from this balance. The October 2026 newsletter reports that in 2026 elders gained flexibility to apply unused health benefits to utilities and vice versa. Amounts are from the website and the FY2023 Benefits Manual, the newest manual posted; call to confirm current amounts.
