Pawnee Nation · FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Assistance
CSBG assistance helps low-income Native Americans with housing or utility needs — a current bill or a deposit — and with medical expenses including eyewear, dentures, and medications. The maximum amount of assistance is $100 per fiscal year, October through September.
Who's eligible
Any CDIB Holder Any Enrolled Tribal Member Income Based Geographic
Applicants must be Native American, verified by a CDIB or a tribal membership card, and do not have to be members of the Pawnee Nation. Proof of income meeting DHS poverty guidelines is required, along with a completed CSBG application and proof of residency. A notice posted August 17, 2026 adds that applicants cannot have received LIHEAP assistance through DHS, and that priority is given to elders, individuals with disabilities, and families with children under age 8. Funds are limited.
Where it's offered
County
Two official statements describe the geography differently and both are reported here. The CHR division page says clients "must reside in Pawnee Nation Service area but do not have to be a member of the Pawnee Nation." The August 17, 2026 utility-assistance notice says applicants "must reside in Pawnee County, City of Yale, or Stillwater," Oklahoma. Yale and Stillwater are in Payne County, so this entry is not attached to a structured county service area — confirm your address with the program.
