Traditional Services (Burial) Assistance
Assistance toward traditional services for a deceased Tonkawa tribal member, not to exceed $500.00.

For a deceased Tonkawa tribal member. The application requires the member's name and roll number, the date of death, the name and address of the funeral home, and the name and relationship of the person completing the application. The packet states in bold: "Assistance Not to Exceed $500.00 for Traditional Services." A request for a Fair Hearing on a denial must be made in writing to the Business Committee of the Tonkawa Tribe of Oklahoma within fifteen days of notification.

Download the burial (Traditional Services Assistance) form from the tribe's forms page, complete it with the deceased member's name and roll number, date of death, and funeral home details, and return it to the Tonkawa Tribal Committee at 1 Rush Buffalo Road. Call (580) 628-2561 with questions. Denials may be appealed in writing to the Business Committee within 15 days.
