Kiowa Housing Authority Down Payment, Closing Cost, and Bridge Assistance
Help with the down payment, closing costs, or bridge assistance on a home purchase. Approved applicants must be prepared to invest 1% of the purchase price out of pocket — on a $100,000 home, $1,000. A complete application goes on the KTHA waiting list by the date and time received; allow 30 days for an eligibility determination, and update information every six months to stay active.
Who's eligible
Any CDIB Holder Income Based
The packet requires a "Tribal I.D. or CDIB (Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood) for everyone listed on the application," so a CDIB from any federally recognized tribe satisfies it — but "Kiowa Tribal members will receive preference over non-tribal members for placement on the waiting list." Loan documents showing the purchase of the home, the mortgage lender's IRS Form W-9, and proof of homeowner insurance are required. All household members age 18 and over need income verification or a notarized statement of zero income.
Where it's offered
Regional
This packet names no service area. KTHA prints a five-county NAHASDA area (Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Kiowa, Tillman) on its home rehab and storm shelter applications and a statewide area on its rental assistance application, but states neither here — confirm with KTHA at 405-339-8100 before relying on this row.
