Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma · FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Community Outreach Assistance (Travel, Lodging and Traditional Homeowners)
Four forms of assistance on one application: travel assistance for medical emergencies and attendance at traditional ceremonies in Texas or Mexico; lodging for medical emergencies, natural disasters and ceremonial functions (approved by the Community Outreach Coordinator and Business Committee at their discretion); traditional assistance for clan leaders, assistant clan leaders, warriors, singers and cooks preparing tribal ceremonies; and Traditional Homeowners Assistance — materials, food and fuel for those helping to build or improve an established traditional home. The department says it exists “to provide support and preserve the Kickapoo Traditions and Culture.”
