Kickapoo Tribal Health Center — Primary and Specialty Care
A tribally operated ambulatory care facility in McLoud, open since January 1998 under a compact with the Indian Health Service. Family Medicine is staffed by two physicians, four physician assistants and a dietitian and offers wound care and a testosterone clinic; pediatrics (birth to 18) provides newborn care, immunizations, well-child and sick visits; women’s health covers low-risk obstetrics and general gynecology including well-woman exams, contraception, ultrasound and colposcopy; and orthopedics, cardiology and podiatry are offered as in-house specialties, with laboratory, radiology and a same-day clinic. The pharmacy fills KTHC providers’ prescriptions only (outside prescriptions are honored only on a KTHC referral and formulary match), offers medication counseling and delivery within a 25-mile radius, and does not fill opioids for chronic pain. A patient portal provides test results, messaging and pre-check-in.
Who's eligible
IHS-Eligible
The registration page states "We are currently accepting new American Indian and Alaska Native patients." New patients bring a current state photo ID, Social Security card, a federally recognized tribal membership card or CDIB, insurance cards (private, Medicare or Medicaid), and — for patients who live within the Kickapoo Contract Health Service boundaries — current proof of residency; minors also need a certified birth certificate and guardianship papers where applicable. The contact page adds: "Any KICKAPOO Tribal member will be seen in this clinic for medical services during clinic hours and will not be denied. In most cases, CDIB is required."
Where it's offered
Regional
The services page says KTHC "serves eligible AI/AN individuals and families living within our service area, including Pottawatomie, Lincoln, Oklahoma, and surrounding counties." Because the list is open-ended, the row is not mapped to those counties; direct care is not conditioned on residence, which matters only for Purchased/Referred Care.
