The Specialized Services page lists LIHEAP among programs "for Tribal members," while the October 2026 newsletter places LIHEAP under the 477 Program, whose basic requirements are "Proof of Membership of a Federally Recognized Indian Tribe or CDIB Card" and residence in the service area. The Utility Assistance checklist asks for the request form, proof of income (current pay stub or tax return if self-employed), proof of disability if applicable, and a list of everyone in the household with CDIB and tribal enrollment numbers. Call to confirm whether members of other tribes qualify and the current income limits.
