Choctaw Referred Care (CRC)
Payer of last resort for authorized medical treatment at non-Indian facilities when care cannot be provided at a Choctaw Nation facility. Prioritizes life-threatening cases. Funding is limited and not guaranteed; minor injuries treated at non-Indian ERs seldom qualify.
Who's eligible
Any CDIB Holder Geographic
Must hold a CDIB and be enrolled in a federally recognized tribe. Must be a permanent, continual resident of the Choctaw Nation Health Service area with proof of 180-day residency. Must exhaust all other financial resources before CRC coverage applies. Emergency care requires CRC notification within 72 hours.
