Kiowa Back-to-School Clothing Assistance
Seasonal gift cards for school clothing and shoes for enrolled Kiowa students. One application is completed for each Kiowa-enrolled student. The program states that assistance “varies year to year and is based on available funds” and is not guaranteed. Gift cards may be used only for school clothing and shoes, and the program reserves the right to verify purchases through its retail vendor.

The student must be an enrolled Kiowa citizen aged 5 to 19 and enrolled in kindergarten through their first year of college or vocational training for the academic year applied for. Only a parent or legal guardian may apply or sign — no other family member may apply or pick up for an eligible child without legal custody or guardianship plus notarized written consent from the parent, "No exceptions." Verification of school enrollment signed by a school official is required; an enrollment letter on official school letterhead signed by a superintendent, principal, administrator, JOM coordinator, or school counselor is also accepted.

The announcement says the program is "Open to ALL Kiowa Legislative Districts" and states no residence or county requirement, but gift cards are picked up in person at the Kiowa Tribe Complex or the K.E.A. Building in Oklahoma, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The 2026-2027 cycle ran from Wednesday, July 29, 2026 through Monday, August 31, 2026 at 4:30 p.m., and the form states that "applications cannot be accepted after this date" — that window has closed, so watch the Higher Education page for the next opening. Applications are accessed through the online form linked from the Higher Education page, by email at backtoschool@kiowatribe.org, or in person at the Kiowa Tribe Complex or the K.E.A. Building between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Download and complete the Verification of School Enrollment form posted on the same page, and have all required documents on hand when picking up gift cards — incomplete applications are not accepted.
