Kiowa Adult Career Development Program
WIOA-funded employment and training help for adults: work experience, on-the-job training, direct assistance, and short-term training aimed at economic self-sufficiency. Once an application is determined eligible, the applicant is referred to the program’s Job Developer for counseling and job referrals.
Who's eligible
Any Enrolled Tribal Member
Open to adults enrolled in ANY federally recognized tribe — not Kiowa citizens only. The requirements are cumulative: adult enrolled membership in a federally recognized tribe, eligibility under Department of Labor guidelines, and residence in one of the six jurisdiction counties. Required documents are a complete signed application, driver's license, birth certificate, Social Security card or voter registration, CDIB, proof of residence (utility bill, rent receipt, cancelled check, voter card, or postmarked mail), and income verification covering all family income for the six months before the application date. The intake form warns that "INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED" and that faxes are not accepted.
