Assistance is available to students attending a two-year college pursuing an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science with the intent to eventually transfer to a four-year college or university, students pursuing a bachelor's degree at a four-year institution, and students pursuing a graduate degree. Students attending a two-year college for an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in certain disciplines, an Associate of Occupational Science degree, or a vocational/technical certification are NOT eligible under the Higher Education Program. The page does not state which tribes' members may apply — confirm with the Education Department. Applications must be complete by the deadline to be considered.

How to apply

PDF DownloadIn-PersonEmail

Download the Higher Education application from the program page, or pick one up at the reception desk at 121 White Eagle Drive. Call (580) 763-0120 ext. 6636 before the deadline if you have trouble obtaining any required document — the program states that if you do not contact them for help before the deadline, the application will be denied. NOTE ON DEADLINES: the tribe publishes two different sets. The Scholarship Assistance page says June 1 for fall, December 1 for spring, and April 1 for summer; the Education & Training page says July 15 for fall, January 15 for spring, and May 15 for summer. Both are official — confirm the current deadline with the Education Department before relying on either.

Where it's available

No residency requirement is published for the scholarship, unlike the tribe's WIOA education and training tracks, which require Kay or Noble County residence.
