Kiowa Youth Leadership Development
Year-round youth programming from the Kiowa Education Agency: leadership development and empowerment, Kiowa language and cultural enrichment, learning and personal development opportunities, school-break activities during spring, summer, fall, and winter breaks, after-school recreation, recognition for youth achievement, community service, and information and referral. The program also sponsors the Kiowa Youth Council.
Who's eligible
Tribal Citizens Only
The page states two different rules and does not reconcile them. Its Eligibility section says "All youth applicants must be enrolled members of the Kiowa Tribe from the ages of 5-18 years of age and provide a copy of their CDIB and any other documentation that maybe needed. Adult applications must be 18 and older as well as be a Kiowa Tribal member." Its description of the Kiowa Youth Council instead says the council has "a focus on Kiowa citizens and descendants ages 10-17," and that current students who are 18 are also eligible if enrolled in high school at the time of application. Confirm which applies with the coordinator at 580-951-0834 before relying on either.
