Kiowa Housing Authority Low-Income Rental Units
Admission to the Kiowa Tribe Housing Authority’s low-income rental units. Applicants rank the location where they prefer to reside among Anadarko, Carnegie, and Lawton. A complete application is placed on the KTHA waiting list by the date and time it was received; allow 30 days for an eligibility determination. After the determination letter, applicants must update their information every six months or the file moves to inactive.
Who's eligible
Any CDIB Holder Income Based
The packet requires a "Tribal I.D. or CDIB (Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood) for everyone listed on the application," so a CDIB from any federally recognized tribe satisfies it — but "Kiowa Tribal members will receive preference over non-tribal members for placement on the waiting list." All household members age 18 and over must provide income verification or a notarized statement of zero income. Returning the packet does not guarantee placement in a unit.
Where it's offered
Regional
The packet names no county service area. It asks the applicant to list in order of preference the location where they prefer to reside — Anadarko, Carnegie, or Lawton, Oklahoma — the towns where KTHA rental units are located. The five-county NAHASDA area KTHA prints on its home rehab and storm shelter applications is not stated for this program.
