Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) Prevention Program
A child welfare prevention program for “at-risk” tribal families in crisis, such as unemployment, substance abuse or the death of a parent. ICW staff build a case plan with the family and provide resources and referrals, which can include rental or utility help and groceries.
Who's eligible
Verify With Program
The page says the program aims to assist "at-risk" tribal families and that applications "will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine eligibility and program applicability." The application asks for a tribal enrollment number and a copy of a tribal enrollment/CDIB card, without naming a tribe. It states ICW cannot help with rent or utilities if the family is eligible through another program, including Miami Adult Services, and cannot pay mortgages, phone or internet bills.
