The MMIP program page describes its mission as addressing "the crisis of missing and murdered Indigenous people by seeking restorative justice and fulfilling the gaps of services with the criminal justice system between federal, tribal & state entities," and lists its services as memorial and vigil services, victim services, MMIP awareness, cultural healing workshops and search and rescue assistance — all marked "*Based on Funding." The page does not publish eligibility criteria, a tribal membership requirement or award amounts; the Family Assistance & Victim Services application and the OVC CN MMIP Victim Services application carry the operative rules. To report a missing Comanche Nation member: "Contact Comanche Nation dispatch at (580) 492-3789. Request to report a missing person via telephone. Law Enforcement will generate a missing person’s report," after which Comanche Nation Law Enforcement determines the investigation and severity and produces a Be On The Lookout (BOLO) flier shared via social media. The page advises having a recent photo, personal information, the last known whereabouts and a description of clothing, and asks families not to post personal phone numbers on missing persons fliers or social media.
