The program states: "For our Preventive Services, we will assist those with a Safety Plan involving OHS; documentation is required. This service aims to encourage and support the Comanche family by helping them reach their goals and preventing family breakdown, as well as preventing more Comanche Youth from entering the child welfare system." The youth must be enrolled with the Comanche Nation, or eligible for enrollment, and between 0 and 18. Preventive Services are listed as parenting education, mental health and counselling services, financial literacy, job training, substance use treatment, and "Financial Assistance (School Breakfast and Lunch), Utilities, and Rent." Entered separately from Client Services because it is a distinct application form and serves a different cohort — families on an OHS Safety Plan rather than foster, kinship, guardianship or adoptive carers. The same $1,000 initial maximum, one-fiscal-year term and documentation rules apply, and the program does not pay legal fees.
