College Education Assistance
Funding for students pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university, enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours; 12 is full-time). Funded students sign a Learning Contract that may require community service hours and monthly progress reports; failing to follow it can suspend education assistance for up to three years. Deadlines: February 1 (spring), June 1 (summer), September 1 (fall). Funding depends on availability.
Who's eligible
Tribal Citizens Only
Per the Education page, students "must be an EXCLUSIVE UKB member for at least six months before receiving Education services, unless the Education director sees fit to make an exception for extenuating circumstances." The services overview says funding is "only open to exclusive UKB members." The application requires a UKB membership card, official transcripts, the class schedule and the bursar bill, plus the mandatory W-9. False statements carry five years of ineligibility, and assistance can be withheld for unsatisfactory academic progress.
