Tribal Assistance Program — Elder Assistance
Financial assistance for basic needs, household expenses, personal expenses, clothing, and the care and safety of tribal elders. $500 per award, available up to twice a year.
Who's eligible
Tribal Citizens Only
Open to enrolled Otoe-Missouria tribal members aged 55 and over. Amount of assistance is $500, available once between January 1 and June 30 and once between July 1 and December 31 — up to twice a year. A completed application is the only documentation required, and the assistance must directly benefit the tribal elder.

No residency requirement is published. Tribal Assistance Program eligibility keys on enrollment in the Otoe-Missouria Tribe rather than where the member lives.

How to apply
Complete the appropriate Tribal Assistance Program application and submit it to the General Fund office at 8151 Hwy 177, Red Rock, OK 74651, by mail, by fax to 580-723-4440, or in person. Incomplete applications are not processed. Applications are reviewed and processed within 10 days of a complete application being received, and you are notified within 10 days whether the application is approved or denied. Hand-delivered applications are dated when the General Fund office date-stamps them; mailed applications use the postmark date. Applications cannot be processed the same day. Appeals must be submitted in writing to the Otoe-Missouria Tribal Council within 30 days. Call 580-723-4466 for the TAP Supervisor (ext. 231) or the General Fund Director (ext. 249).
