Child Support Enforcement (CSE)
A comprehensive federally approved IV-D child support program: establishing paternity, establishing and modifying support orders, enforcing orders, locating non-custodial parents and mediating for families in crisis.
Who's eligible
Any Enrolled Tribal Member
The program states it is "currently a comprehensive IV-D program. This means that we have passed the Federal Review process to manage child support cases. We will be glad to assist any tribal member needing our services." Comanche Nation Tribal Court jurisdiction covers: "A member of the Comanche Nation of Oklahoma"; "A child(ren) who is a member or is eligible for membership in the Comanche Nation"; "Any member of an Indian Tribe who resides within the Comanche Nation Indian Country, as defined in the Comanche Children and Family Relations Code 2008 Chapter 1 107"; and "All other parties who consent to the jurisdiction of the Comanche Nation Tribal Court." The page states: "everyone within the Comanche Nation’s jurisdiction shall have the right to receive services from the Comanche Nation Child Support Program." Required documents: the children’s CDIB cards, a driver’s licence, certified birth certificates for the children, social security cards, any divorce decree or judge’s order regarding child support, any orders regarding custody, a paternity affidavit if applicable, and all EPOs or VOPs must be in the file.
Where it's offered
County
The program states: "The Comanche Nation Child Support Program not only serves the eleven (11) counties within the Comanche Nation Jurisdiction: Comanche, Caddo, Cotton, Stephens, Kiowa, Tillman, Jefferson, Grady, Jackson, Harman, and Greer." (The page spells Harmon County as "Harman.") This is the widest boundary the tribe publishes, and note that three other official pages apply the phrase "Comanche Nation jurisdiction" to a narrower seven-county list. Tribal Court jurisdiction may also reach parties who consent to it, regardless of county.
