CNHA’s FAQ answers "Can anyone apply for housing?" with "Yes, but CNHA has a Comanche tribal preference," and "Does CNHA have preferences?" with "Yes. Comanche, Elderly, and people with families." Income limits follow the HUD IHBG income limits linked from the site. The application requires birth certificates and social security cards for all household members, CDIB cards for all enrolled members, income verification for everyone over 18 and a background check for everyone over 18. All applicants are screened for desirability; eligible applicants are placed on a waiting list with no published time frame. Rent is 20% of adjusted annual household income, never less than the $100 monthly administrative fee. A $150 non-refundable pet deposit applies to cats, dogs and birds, maximum three pets per household. Annual re-certification is required on the anniversary of move-in. Previous tenants may reapply five years after leaving, assuming they left in good standing. CNHA states it does not have emergency housing.
