Who qualifies

Native American Descent

The program lists six eligibility requirements: "Must be 18 years or older"; "Provide a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB)"; "Provide a Certificate from an In-Patient Primary Residential Treatment"; "Willing to commit to 90 days of residential supervision"; "Willing and physically able to work in order to become self-sufficient"; and "Willing to actively participate in all aspects of his/her Recovery." The mission is "to provide transitional residential services for the prevention and treatment of alcoholism and other drug-related addictions for the Native American population residing within the Southwest Oklahoma service area." Payment: "No charge." The program runs in four phases: screening and eligibility determination; initial placement and adjustment (weeks 1-2); sobriety maintenance (weeks 3-8); and relapse prevention (weeks 9-12), with the option of an extension if eligible and the waiting list permits. It provides 24-hour client supervision and implements the 12 Core Substance Abuse Functions. Services include drug and breathalyser testing, AA, certified Wellbriety, a Native American sweat lodge and cultural activities.

How to apply

PhoneEmail

The potential resident makes initial contact from treatment by phone or email requesting an application for services. Once the request and proper documentation are provided for review, eligibility is determined and placement is made directly from treatment, door to door. Call (580) 360-0686. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with 24-hour client supervision on site.

Where it's available

The program states its service area as: "Includes, but is not limited to, Southwest Oklahoma. Preference is given to Comanche Tribal members." Because the boundary is explicitly open-ended ("but is not limited to") and named only as a region rather than a county list, no structured service area is attached. Placement is made directly from the treatment facility, door to door.
